🪐 The first playing card collection set designed with the concept of GAMEBOY (Nintendo Entertainment System),Limited to 700.

🪐 The birth of FAMICOM (Nintendo Entertainment System),the first video game console opened a new era of video games, has become an indelible memory in many people’s minds. We spent 12 months based on the concept of FAMICOM building the first playing cards collection set——PIXEL V1.

🪐 Interesting creativity and lovely design make this playing card a new favorite in the community. In just half a year, the price of PIXEL V1 has risen to $85, which still cannot resist the collectors’ love for this card.

🪐 The popularity of FC shows the charm of game cassettes and provides inspiration for Nintendo’s second-generation Game Boy. The emergence of handheld game console makes the game anytime, anywhere, and the cassette game has more experience in the scene . Today，we have made PIXEL V2 collection set based on Game Boy.

🪐 In digital imaging, a pixel, pel, or picture element is a physical point in a raster image, or the smallest addressable element in an all points addressable display device; so it is the smallest controllable element of a picture represented on the screen.

🪐 Early electronic devices were limited by resolution, and each pixel was sharply defined. In the mobile Internet era, with the continuous improvement of screen resolution and smoother lines, the “pixel” has gradually become a synonym for retro.

🪐 But the pixels did not fade out of people’s sight, on the contrary, they became more and more popular. Lego building blocks, mosaic tiles, magic cube paintings and hand-made pin beans are all extension and application of the pixel style.

🪐 Game Boy was born in 1989, 30 years ago. People 30 years ago are more accustomed to sit together in front of the TV and play Family Computer (FC) or soak themselves in Arcade. When you see someone holding a GameBoy at that time, basically we can say it’s an icon of fashion.

🪐 There are 200 million Gameboys that have been sold by the time it came into the world，absolutely it’s the most popular handheld game console in the world. 15 years dominate in the era of rapid changes in electronic products until 2003 that production was declared off. Tetris、Pokémon、The Legend of Zelda and other games together makes up our childhood.

🪐 PIXEL V2 inspired by GameBoy presents GameBoy’s 30th anniversary and pays a tribute to play and fun once again.

🪐 Mike, 52 Pixel’s designer, and owner, he insisted on designing the cards and gift boxes with 1.5mmx1.5mm pixels to make the overall design more uniform and to continue the style of PIXEL V1.

🪐 The design of the suits and numbers abandons the traditional Bicycle style and uses the pixel style as an update. It takes nearly a year to try various cartoon elements. Finally, kitty and puppy are chosen as the main elements of the design.

🪐 We redesigned all the court cards.Each suit is designed regarding a popular pet dog and cat. Two special cards contained, one of them is King of Spades which has a funny expression on the face, inherited the thug life spoof style we used on PIXEL V1. And the other one is the self-portrait of Mike with funny dressing.
