* Note: Before you say that this is available on tokidoki website, and it’s too expensive, consider the economics of logistics.
– 9.95 euros (S$14.50) per deck, yes, but try checking out first
– Shipping is 40.95 euros (S$59.50)
– At this point it’s already S$74, not including sturdy packaging to ensure perfect condition, insurance and paying the salary of someone to work in a warehouse, rent & overheads etc.
– Is it possible to sell it at S$9.95? Please consider before you ask something “cheeky”. Global shipping issues are no joke nowadays.
– Someone has to work to physically pack this and send to you, and everyone’s time is valuable.
– This is the price that makes it worthwhile for me to sell this deck. You are welcome to use my research and look for better deals elsewhere. As a collector myself I am happy if you do so.
– This listing is for my regulars who don’t have a credit card, and they are aware that I charge a premium for the hassle of delivering it to them fuss free.

Collaborative deck between Bicycle and Tokidoki. From the little background textures, to the sprinkled Tokidoki characters throughout the deck, this deck, is great. Every suit is themed differently. Every court card is designed differently.

Specifically made to commemorate the Tokyo Olympics.

The cards are Made in the USA and feature an amazing air cushion finish and beautiful TKDK designs.

The 2020 Summer Olympics (Japanese: 2020年夏季オリンピック, Hepburn: Nisen Nijū-nen Kaki Orinpikku), officially the Games of the XXXII Olympiad (第三十二回オリンピック競技大会, Dai Sanjūni-kai Orinpikku Kyōgi Taikai) and also known as Tokyo 2020 (東京2020, Tōkyō Nii Zero Nii Zero), was an international multi-sport event held from 23 July to 8 August 2021 in Tokyo, Japan, with some preliminary events that began on 21 July 2021.

Tokyo was selected as the host city during the 125th IOC Session in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 7 September 2013. The Games were originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, but due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, on 24 March 2020, the event was postponed to 2021, the first such instance in the history of the Olympic Games (previous games had been cancelled but not rescheduled). However, the event retained the Tokyo 2020 branding for marketing purpose. It was largely held behind closed doors with no public spectators permitted due to the declaration of a state of emergency in the Greater Tokyo Area in response to the pandemic, the first and so far only Olympic Games to be held without official spectators. The Games were the most expensive ever, with total spending of over $20 billion.

The 2020 Games were the fourth Olympic Games to be held in Japan, following the 1964 Summer Olympics (Tokyo), 1972 Winter Olympics (Sapporo), and 1998 Winter Olympics (Nagano (city)). Tokyo became the first city in Asia to hold the Summer Olympic Games twice. The 2020 Games were the second of three consecutive Olympics to be held in East Asia, following the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea and preceding the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China. Due to the one-year postponement, Tokyo 2020 was the first and only Olympic Games to have been held in an odd-numbered year and the first Summer Olympics since the 1900 Games to be held in a non-leap year.

About tokidoki
tokidoki, which translates to “sometimes” in Japanese, is an internationally recognized and iconic lifestyle brand based on the vision of Italian artist Simone Legno and his partners, serial entrepreneurs Pooneh Mohajer and Ivan Arnold.

Since debuting in 2005, tokidoki has amassed a cult-like following for its larger-than-life characters and emerged as a sought- after global lifestyle brand. tokidoki offers an extensive range of products which include apparel, handbags, cosmetics, accessories, toys and more.

Simone Legno, tokidoki’s creative director, was born in Rome, Italy and from a very young age developed a deep love of Japan and a fascination with world cultures. Combining Legno’s unique talent and creativity with Mohajer’s business acumen, tokidoki has grown exponentially.

As an innovative company, tokidoki is known not only for its eye-popping aesthetic and criminally cute characters but also its megawatt partnerships.

Lines of toys include: Cactus Friends, Donutella and Her Sweet Friends, Unicorno, Moofia, Mermicorno, Til Death, and Punkstar.

In April 2005, the co-founder of cosmetics company Hard Candy, Pooneh Mohajer, and her husband Ivan Arnold, saw Simone Legno’s personal portfolio website, which had some popularity, being listed as one of The Independent’s top ten “websites of the week”. They subsequently arranged to meet him, and Simone joined them in Los Angeles. Simone has become a recent fixture at the San Diego Comic Con and makes appearances at various locations worldwide for signings and promotions.

Simone Legno
Simone Legno (Co-Founder/Chief Creative Officer) of tokidoki was born in Rome, Italy. Legno drew incessantly as a child. The boxes of chewed, broken and unsharpened pencils he adored as a kid were the beginnings of a passion for art that led to the eventual creation of tokidoki.

tokidoki means “sometimes” in Japanese. Legno, who has always had a deep love of Japan and fascination with world cultures, chose the word because he feels “everyone waits for moments that change one’s destiny, by chance or by meeting a new person”. Simone’s special moment arrived when his designs drew the attention of entrepreneurs Pooneh Mohajer and Ivan Arnold, who spied the art on his personal website and convinced him to move to L.A. to build a global brand.

tokidoki has collaborated with many brands such as Karl Lagerfeld, Guggenheim Museum, Sephora, LeSportsac, Onitsuka Tiger, Marvel, New Era, Hello Kitty, Fujitsu, Levi’s, Xbox, T-mobile, Medicom Toy, MLB, Barbie, and Canon.

Simone has become a sought-after speaker around the world at museums, universities and conferences, from MOCA to the Adobe MAX conference, Flash Film Festival, Art Center College of Design, Apple store in Osaka, Istituto Europeo di Design, STGCC, and Grafika Manila.

Pooneh Mohajer
Pooneh Mohajer, CEO and Co-Founder of tokidoki, is a serial entrepreneur at heart. tokidoki is her third company to date. Since its inception, Pooneh has overseen the growth of tokidoki into a global lifestyle brand which has amassed a cult-like following for its larger-than-life characters, megawatt partnerships and diverse array of products, ranging from handbags to collectibles to slot machines.

In 1995, Pooneh co-founded Hard Candy Inc., a color cosmetics Company that revolutionized the nail enamel and cosmetic industries worldwide. In 1999, Pooneh successfully sold Hard Candy Inc. to LVMH, Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SA, an international luxury goods conglomerate.

Pooneh received her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law and her BA from Vanderbilt University. Since 1996, she has been a member of EO, Entrepreneurs’ Organization. In 2014, Pooneh joined the Board of Directors of Children Mending Hearts, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering disadvantaged youth.
