By request, launching the Playing Cards Adult Coloring series for Stress Relief!
In an ancient mystical forest, all is silent in the deep night. In the distance, a soft chiming of temple bells, as if you’d imagined it. Swirling out of the mist, a luminous Kitsune fox spirit appears. Is it a bringer of mischief or good fortune?
Coloring is a meditative activity that brings therapeutic calmness & peace into our heart and mind. It encourages everyone regardless of age to develop patience and concentration.

In Japanese mythology & traditional folklore, kitsune (狐, きつね), are fox spirits with abilities that increase with age & wisdom. According to yōkai folklore, all foxes have the ability to shapeshift into human form. While some folktales speak of kitsune as tricksters, other stories portray them as faithful guardians, friends, and lovers.
Foxes and humans lived close together in ancient Japan; this companionship gave rise to legends about the creatures. Kitsune have become closely associated with Inari, a Shinto kami or spirit, and serve as its messengers. This role has reinforced the fox’s supernatural significance. The more tails a kitsune has—they may have as many as nine—the older, wiser, and more powerful it is. Because of their potential power and influence, some people make sacrifices to them as to a deity.
During the 2 years of pandemic, I lost my job selling luxury timepieces and diamonds on international cruise ships. I started selling extra decks in my playing cards collection – while I love brick boxes, I didn’t need 6 or 12 of the same deck.
Never did I realize that one day, I would be a resident of Malta, and looking to rent a Palazzo to set up the Malta Museum of Cartomancy, Tarot & Playing Cards (MMPC).
Your support means a lot to me! While I will be working with Founder Friendly investors for this legacy project, majority is self-funded, as I wish to maintain full control over my vision.
As children, we would indulge in coloring books on rainy days, or doodle in class out of boredom. I firmly believe in art therapy and color therapy.
The color of the clothes we wear will affect our mood – carry a moss green umbrella and feel gloomy as you trudge the rainy streets. But tote a sunshine yellow umbrella and you will find yourself involuntarily smiling – go dancing in the rain!
Adult coloring books featuring mandalas and even obscenities (!) have become a trend during pandemic, when self-care and relaxation techniques became popular.
These coloring pages marry both my passion of limited edition collectible playing cards, and coloring books.
As I am not creative myself, I have become an AI Artist / Prompt Engineer. This artwork was created using Stable Diffusion on Night Cafe Studio, by using text prompts to convert into an image. I have paid for credits to use this. It is actually not as easy as it sounds, it took hours to manipulate the prompts to get the effect I was looking for.
Naturally, I am aware of the controversy about cryptocurrency, NFTs, AI artwork, etc.
Being born in 1980s, it is very strange for me to witness all this. I remember when we grew up doodling in coloring books and putting together a jigsaw puzzle, before internet existed, or iPads with Coloring apps. The world changed when we got dial up modems with that quirky sound of connection – it opened up a world we never imagined possible.
If you had told me that one day, we would each tote a mobile computer, and be able to buy & sell things in a virtual world, I would have laughed and said “Get outta here.” And yet, the world has changed again. With 24/7 connectivity, we feel more isolated and anxious. It’s time to go low-tech and train our patience and concentration skills again. Breathe, let your mind go comfortably blank, and revel in colors.
I cannot draw free hand, or use Photoshop. AI allows people like me who are not artistically talented to experiment, and create.
