“Jetsetter Playing Cards was officially established in 2015. Since then, we have become a notable luxury brand among the aviation and playing card communities. You will find our playing cards ready for gameplay on numerous high profile private jets and in the agile hands of many respected card players, illusionists, magicians, and cardists. You may have even seen our playing cards on TV. It has been an incredible journey since our first successful project on Kickstarter.
🪐 As of today, Jetsetter Playing Cards has produced six individual decks (over 16,000 units) and has shipped to over 35 countries around the globe. Five of those six decks were funded and possible with the help of passionate backers like yourself on past Kickstarter projects like this one. We’re ready to takeoff with our next edition but I need your help to make it possible. Without further ado…
🪐 Introducing the Lounge Edition
Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Ruccio and I’ll be your Pilot in Command during this campaign. On behalf of Jetsetter Playing Cards, welcome aboard our newest project on Kickstarter. I will be in charge of your experience throughout this journey.
🪐 I’d like to personally introduce you to the next deck in our fleet from our newest Jetsetter Playing Cards series … the Lounge Edition in Terminal Teal.
🪐 Think about your favorite airline lounge. Now imagine a stash of playing cards only for their most frequent fliers. These could be them. For guests who’ve flown with us before, you can attest to the quality of our past decks of Jetsetter Playing Cards. As you’ll see, this new deck fits in nicely with the existing fleet.
🪐 If this is your first flight with us, let me take a moment to describe our newest series. As always, our goal is to stay true to our inspiration, roots, and passion. And of course, expected functionality. You can say our approach with this new Lounge Edition is more of an evolution of the Jetsetter Playing Cards brand and design.
🪐 You don’t have to take my word for it. Playing card collector, Jonathan Ong best describes our newest edition… “It’s clearly a departure from the Luxury Edition and the Premier Edition, making it stick out from the others, but is clearly a Jetsetter Playing Cards product.”
🪐 Design
With all of our decks, we strive to exhibit a vintage and classy feel but with modern appeal. The tuck box will be produced with a synthetic stock providing durability beyond your standard tuck box that plagues your everyday deck. If you own any of our Premier Edition decks, you’ll be very familiar with the material. Once the deck lands in your hand, you’ll immediately notice a clear UV spot coating creatively applied to the front of the tuck box. Additionally, all the main Jetsetter Playing Cards spade logos on the tuck box will shine with silver foil. These upgrade features have become standard on our decks.
🪐 The back design of the playing cards showcases our unique Terminal Teal colorway. It’s the type of color that makes you want to take your seat in comfort while helping you travel in style.
🪐 Let’s talk about the spade logo. Our ever-evolving airplane pattern now appears with our primary Jetsetter Playing Cards spade logo within the pattern. Additionally, we have placed the spade logo on the back design in a non-traditional way. It’s offset, and meant to remind you of a two-way casino-style design.
🪐 Our custom Ace of Spades exhibits our primary Jetsetter Playing Cards spade logo in the Jet Black colorway. We’ve added our Luxury Brand & Quality Decks tagline underneath as a reminder.
🪐 We also took time to revamp and modernize our distinctive and recognizable Jokers. The deck includes two, non-traditional yet functional, Jokers. They resemble a pair of fictitious airline boarding passes for a round trip flight. Where do you want to go?
🪐 Each of the Jokers display variations between the two, making them ideal for gameplay. For those magicians traveling with us, we’ve hidden within one of the Jokers, an Eight of Clubs reveal. Additionally, as an added bonus, both Jokers have a location dedicated for a written prediction or signature.
🪐 We are printing with standard American court cards. However, they are re-colored to match the look and feel of our Lounge Edition deck in the Terminal Teal colorway. All the black cards, spades and clubs, showcase teal, black, and silver court cards. The red cards, hearts and diamonds seem standard. These are re-colored as well. The court cards actually showcase a vintage style red, black, and gold.
🪐 Before we come in for our landing, you should know this deck will be printed with the sought after Classic Finish. We want to provide a familiar and functional feel, right out of the box.
🪐 Since the overall funding has reached $8000 USD, a second deck has been unlocked with a Limited Back. This second version will provide an upgraded feel over the Standard Back version. Added features will include:
– silver foil (on the large spade logos) applied to the back design
clear spot UV (on the overall pattern) applied to the back design
– supplementary silver foil applied to the tuck box
– an individually numbered seal
🪐 Manufacturer
Our ultra thin borders of the Lounge Edition deck rely on precise registration. This means the printing and cutting must meet our expected standards. Due to this critical requirement and the need to be consistent with all our previously released decks, we’ve chosen to work again with Expert Playing Card Company. Exactly like all of our preceding decks, we’re manufacturing this one within the same factory
