* Note: Kingstar says very clearly that Sword in the Stone is not the Excalibur! I’m surprised they’ve made that distinction as I’m a huge Le Morte d’Arthur fan. Watch out for that in future releases.

🌟 KING STAR’s first release in the year of 2021!

The first work in the series of Hymns of the Hero King -[Sword in the Stone]

🌟 The gift box [Triumphant Praise] is limited to 1288 in the world and will never be remade. Contains 2 decks of cards – Lord of Destiny, a special edition of cards not for sale separately, and a metal Sword in the Stone figurine stand.

🌟 Enter a parallel world in ancient Britain: in King Star’s world view, King Arthur is a beautiful and brave girl, the daughter of King Uther.

🌟 Since the day she was born, her mind has been deeply imprinted with the memory of another parallel time and space of King Arthur (the one we’re used to!) from the peak to the fall and finally leading to the demise of Britain. Her fate is to reverse this destiny…

🌟 The 12 heroic spirits of the Knights of the Round Table were summoned with her birth. The wheel of fortune turns again… Sword in the Stone, Merlin, Lancelot, Avalon, Holy Grail, Morgan le Fay, and Guinevere – Can these familiar names create different legends?

🌟 This time [Sword in Stone] is divided into two versions:

Standard Edition: [Sword in the Stone · Lord of Destiny]

(The design of the tuck box adopts the image of King Arthur who wants to pull the sword in the stone from the pile of stones, and the gold foil technique is added to both the front and the back.)

🌟 KING STAR’s iconic double layer tuck case incorporates the design of the inner box. When you remove the cards, you physically pull out the Sword in the Stone.

🌟 Luxury gold foil on the back of the card creates a powerful effect during Cardistry fanning. The card face also includes subtle gold foil, and the art design adapts the Knights of the Round Table and important characters in the legend of King Arthur.

🌟 The inner surface of the exterior tuck box has both English and French versions of the “Knight’s Oaths” in gold foil.

🌟 Collector’s Edition: [Sword in the Stone · Divine Vision] is not for sale individually, only comes with the Boxset.

🌟 · A little Optical Illusion secret:

In the design of the Court cards, the 12 Knights of the Round Table, their postures and outlook are different when you flip them upside down.

🌟 The Sword in the Stone and Excalibur are not the same sword. The two swords are different weapons held by King Arthur during two periods of his life. As for the story of Excalibur, Kingstar intends to leave it to the sequel of this series…

🌟 Let’s introduce the 12 knights of the Round Table who followed King Arthur this time (Court cards):

· Lancelot

Sir Lancelot is a legendary character in the legend of King Arthur, and was a Knight of the Round Table. Sir Lancelot of the Lake was one of the most trusted knights of King Arthur’s Round Table, but this soon changed when he fell in love with the king’s wife, Queen Guinevere. He was raised by the Lady of the Lake, hence his title Lancelot Du Lac. Sir Lancelot was the only knight known to defeat King Arthur during a jousting match. He is also known briefly as the father of Sir Galahad, the greatest knight of all Camelot. Sir Galahad’s mother is also possibly Elaine Of Configure. Lancelot’s affair with Elaine later caused him and Guinevere to part ways.

Lancelot was a Red Cross Knight, which meant that he was one of the knights in the quest to find the Holy Grail. He saw the ascension of Sir Galahad.

· Sir Percival

Proved himself to be one of Arthur’s most loyal knights. Percival is most commonly known for retrieving Excalibur from a clan of mischievous faery creatures, whose only distinguishing characteristics were their brightly colored headwear and small stature. This eventually led to the present day Anglo-Saxon folklore of garden gnomes.

Percival is the Grail knight or one of the Grail knights in numerous medieval and modern stories of the Grail quest. In the original tale his heart was not pure enough and he was ultimately unable to lift the grail.

· Sir Gaheris

He was a nephew of King Arthur. He was the third son of Arthur’s sister Morgause and her husband Sir Lot. He was described as being valiant, agile, handsome, and his left arm was shorter than his right arm. He was killed by Lancelot in the Prose Lancelot.

· Sir Tristan

A legendary knight with highly skilled martial arts, he has a lifelong passion for music and singing, and is called the “Sentimental Knight”. He is a legendary character from Cornish folklore. He was one of the main characters of the story of Tristan and Isolde. He was also one of the Knights of the Round Table in the Matter of Britain. He is son of Meliodas and Elizabeth the king and queen of lioness. He is sent to Ireland by his uncle the King of Cornwall, to bring back Isolde so that the king can marry her. However, Tristan and Isolde accidentally fall in love. As a Knight of the Round Table, Sir Tristan was a well-known archer and a close friend to King Arthur.

· Sir Kay

In stories about King Arthur, Sir Kay is Sir Ector’s son and King Arthur’s foster brother. He later becomes Arthur’s seneschal, and one of the first Knights of the Round Table. His mouth is a tad uncontrollable at times, but he is very reliable at critical moments.

· Sir Geraint

A lazy and somewhat suspicious knight, his marriage story in the original tale is also very joyful and interesting.

· Sir Bedivere

He is a fearless fighter and one of Arthur’s most trusted knights. In the early legends he is the cupbearer. Later legends have him as the one who returns Arthur’s sword Excalibur to the Lady of the Lake. He then put the dying Arthur in a boat to take him to Avalon.

He and Arthur fought the Giant of Mont Saint-Michel. He lost one hand in a battle. Only he and Arthur survived the “Battle of Camlan”. But Arthur received a wound in the battle and was dying. Arthur commanded Bedivere to throw his magical sword Excalibur back into the Lake. Twice Bedivere lied to Arthur but the third time he threw the sword into the lake it came from. In some legends Arthur gives him rule over Normandy.

· Sir Gareth

The knight nicknamed “Beaumains” defeated the black warrior, the green warrior, the blue warrior, the brown warrior one after another, and finally defeated the man of the red warrior. He was named a knight by Sir Lancelot after a jousting and sword fighting challenge. After one year, Gareth revealed his identity as Sir Gawain’s brother and went on a quest as a gift from Arthur. Killed by Lancelot during the rescue of the Queen.

· Sir Gawain

Gawain is often portrayed as a formidable, courteous, and also a compassionate warrior, fiercely loyal to his king and family. He is a friend to young knights, a defender of the poor, and as “the Maidens’ Knight”, a defender of women as well. In some works, his strength waxes and wanes with the sun; in the most common form of this motif, his might triples by noon, but fades as the sun sets. His knowledge of herbs makes him a great healer.

· Sir Galahad

Legend says that Galahad searched for and later found the Holy Grail earning him the name ‘The Grail Knight’, as he was the only one on earth considered by God worthy of finding the Holy Grail. His uncle was King Pelle and Galahad’s father was actually Sir Lancelot.

Galahad was also very noble and loyal, and was reknowned as a talented swordsman. He was known as the perfect knight. It can be said that he is the most powerful person in the Knights of the Round Table. In the original work, at the moment he lifted the Holy Grail, countless brilliant angels descended and took his soul to welcome him into heaven, and he died along with it.

· Sir Lamorak

Lamorak was known for his strength and fiery temper, and fought off thirty knights on at least two occasions. Thomas Malory refers to him as Arthur’s third best knight, only lower than Lancelot and Tristan.

· Sir Bors the Younger

His father, Bors the Elder, was the King of Gaunnes. Bors the Younger and his brother, Lionel, rebelled against Claudas’ court. Before they were captured by Claudas, the boys were rescued by one of the Lady of the Lake’s servants. They, alongside Jaxon, grew up to become skilled knights. They then joined King Arthur’s Round Table. Along with Galahad and Percival, Bors was one of the three to witness the wonders of the Holy Grail. Bors is more known for his loyalty and faithfulness than his swordsmanship. Bors was always loyal to King Arthur, even if it meant risking his own life. Bors could be considered almost fearless, due to him never being afraid to fight beside other knights! Bors was known for his great power and agility, due to the fact that he had once slain 3 vicious dragons with a slash of his sword.
