The Babylon Playing Cards come in three different versions, Ruby Red, Cerulean Blue, and Forest Green. The tuck case of each edition is accented with different foils complementing each other to give it a luxurious feel.

The front of the tuck case features the artwork of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The top corners of the tuck cases are guarded by what seems to be a figure of a lion’s head as if protecting the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.

The back of the tuck case is filled with details that await your discovery. Following the lion heads to the corners, you can see the famous Ishtar Gate of Babylon on opposite ends of the canvas.

Surrounding the Ishtar Gate, you can see a serpent figure guarding the place. It is said that ancient serpents played important roles in the religious and cultural life of ancient civilizations.

When you open the tuck box, the inner artwork truly reminds you the glory of ancient Babylon. At a glance you see none other than the Tower of Babel. According to the story, a united human race wanted to build a tower high enough to reach heaven. God, observing their city and power, punished them by confounding their ability to speak the same language, and scattered them around the world. It is amazing how a piece of artwork can tell a story that means so much to human kind.

The back design of the deck are no less fascinating than the tuck case. They are made with the colour corresponding to the colour version of the decks. The overall design is similar to the back design of the tuck case, showing a mirrored image of the Ishtar Gate and the serpent surrounding it.

Looking more closely, the white borders now allow us to view the artworks in a more detailed perspective. Each scales on the serpent and the wear and tears of the building reflects the age of the ancient civilization.

If you enjoyed our suits and pip design of the King Arthur Deck, you are in for a treat. Now with three versions of the deck, we applied three different colour schemes on each of the Clubs and Spades.

The Ruby Red uses black and gold, The Cerulean Blue uses light blue and dark blue, The Forest Green uses green and gold.

If you inspect the suits closely, you might find that each suit is infused artworks that resembles the aestetic of ancient Babylon.

The court cards of the Babylon Playing Cards transcends the entire deck to a higher level. Afterall, it is us as human beings that was able to build these civilizations, and there is no better way to honour them by putting in as much details to the designs.

As you can see, each of the court cards have a specific role, whether they’re warriors, scholars, or farmers, each are essential for a civilization to grow. The Jacks, Queens, and Kings are printed in the same font and the number cards and have the same colour scheme in correspondent to their versions.

The Ace of Spades is competed in different colours for each version. Right up the bat you see a huge Spade symbol in the center.

However, if you look closely you find that the shape is made with outlines of the serpent and mystic creatures of ancient Babylon. We invite you to go beyond your imagination and step into the stories of Babylon.

A deck of playing cardsis incomplete without the Jokers. Anzu, the winged eagle-lion creatures fits into the theme perfectly.

The creature is a prestigious myth of ancient Babylon, and through our designs, we hope to bring it to life on the canvas of playing cards.
