In 1970, the iconic Jerry’s Nugget playing cards were born, and today, we proudly celebrate their 50th anniversary. We are thrilled to share a momentous announcement: a collaboration that pays tribute to the rich history of this legendary deck. We are honored to partner with the Expert Playing Cards Company and Jerry’s Nugget Las Vegas to unveil a brand-new edition – the Jerry’s Nugget Kelly Green Edition.
Each card in this edition will maintain the original Jerry’s Nugget’s remarkable thickness, achieved through a process of THIN CRUSHING the USPCC’s world-renowned premium (Bee) stock. While the classic designs will remain untouched, the color theme will undergo a transformation. The Kelly Green Edition leverages cutting-edge playing card printing technologies from USPCC to recapture the texture and sensation of the original Jerry’s Nugget as faithfully as possible. In doing so, it bridges the gap between classic and contemporary, uniting two generations in a single deck.

One color creates the iconic Jerry’s Nugget back design, blending a timeless look with a modern aesthetic. Using a single hue against the white cardstock helps all the intricate details of the design POP. This particular monochromatic approach also helps in hiding our unique marking system.
The center spade on the Ace are also accented with a single color
The Jokers are also accented with a single color.
There are two secret systems; one for suites and the other for value. The Icy Blue and Atomic Red cards are marked to identify suits only. The Felt Green cards enable you to determine both the value and suit of any given card.
After testing a handful of ideal marking systems, we chose two easily read versions. Each of them is a marriage of form and function. We call them the Tower Marking Systems. And with a bit of memorization and a few minutes of practice, you’ll be able to read the backs of the cards without hesitation. As you learn this system (directly below), you’ll see what all the fun is about.
READ SUIT TOWER MARKINGS
Identify the suits of all three editions from the back in a flash. Look for the outer borders on top of Jerry’s famous tower. Can you see the different THICKNESS as shown below? The varying thicknesses of the borders result in four diverse results. All you have to do is locate that thick boundary.
Due to our mutual love for Jerry’s Nugget playing cards, we successfully collaborated to create this project. Our desire to carry on this legacy drives us to develop new series for future generations.

Jerry’s Nugget created one of the most collectible playing card brands produced by USPCC in 1970. The iconic series lives on thanks to the North Las Vegas casino’s blessing and licensing arrangements. Special thanks to the Stamis family.

CONJURING ARTS RESEARCH CENTER
The Conjuring Arts Research Center is a not-for-profit organization based in New York City dedicated to preserving and interpreting magic and its allied arts. A large part of this exceptional organization’s work is sourcing forgotten treasures, preserving them, and making them available to magicians and scholars.

Few playing card producers boast a resume on par with Riffle Shuffle. Despite releasing more unique decks a year than most, Riffle Shuffle’s commitment to the Jerry’s Nugget brand has not faltered. Thanks to their unwavering passion, this Kickstarter campaign became a reality.
