History was never kind to women as traditional history obscured, neglected, and distorted the historical record and experience of many great women. No matter how hard they fought to become a writer, poet, scientist or an artist, being a woman was a huge drawback in any society, but in the end they had another battle to overcome, fighting not to be eliminated by the hands of history.

Among these noble women, some were known for their warrior spirit, the spirit to participate on battlefields, the manliest place, a place where no woman was welcome, yet there were some, who broke the tradition. In these battlefields not only did they fight as good as men, but some of them were leaders or had a special role in the war. All these women warriors fought back against a male-dominated world.

In this project, we tried our best to know these great warriors, to honor the past, inform the present and inspire the future.

This deck is dedicated to showcasing the numerous warrior women that have existed throughout history, providing brief accounts of their lives and the roles they played in the theater of war. Countless women have fought in every war in human history and they deserve to be remembered. We hope that people will find it engaging and interesting.

The stories we tell deepen our understanding of warrior women’s contributions to the world, showing how far they advanced and how we, as a modern society, value their courage.

March is Women’s History Month, the month when we take the time to look back and honor the many achievements of women. Learn more about some of the world’s greatest women, as remembering their courage confirms their place in history.

Timeline of these fearless warrior women was related before the 16th century, when first firearms and modern weapons were invented. This is the first volume and we are willing to go for the second volume provided in the early centuries as well.

The pack of heroines must have epic armor, so the custom tuck is represented as the face of an armor, drawn as the index of the soul. This was created after the study and combination of classical patterns, gothic statistics and old motifs, with weapons woven into the delicate design elements along with intricate and detailed gold, silver and red foil. The embossing on all sides makes this a spectacular tuck box that you will enjoy opening every time your friends are around to play.

Long ago, there were women honored and revered by their culture, as they often held influential and dynamic positions in society. Aside from being mothers, they played many roles – teacher, politician, business owner, even soldiers. In fact, ancient women warriors were so powerful, neighboring male-dominated cultures viewed them with a mixture of horror and fascination. As all societies value bravery and courage, men and women were equally represented in all facets of life, and the battlefield was no exception.

These women fought hard for their causes and claimed just as much glory on the battlefield as their male counterparts. It is essential for us to know them and understand their powerful history as this is one of the key factors in women’s strength nowadays.

Boudica, a Celtic queen of the Iceni in Britannia, led a massive uprising against the occupying Roman forces. According to Suetonius, her enemy Gaius Suetonius Paulinus encouraged his soldiers by joking that her army contained more women than men, implying the presence of warrior women. Boudicca’s warriors successfully defeated the Roman Ninth Legion and destroyed the capital of Roman Britain.

Nzinga fought for the freedom and stature of her kingdom Ndongo against the Portuguese, who were concentrating their efforts towards South West Africa, in attempts to control the slave trade.

Cynane a half-sister to Alexander the Great, accompanied her father on a military campaign and killed an Illyrian leader named Caeria in hand-to-hand combat, and defeated the Illyrian army.

Artemisia Queen of Halicarnassus, was a naval commander and advisor to Xerxes at the Battle of Salamis.

Zenobia This ancient queen of Palmyra conquered Egypt, captured Roman provinces, and nearly transformed her realm into an empire equal to Rome.

Tomyris led an army that defeated a Persian army under Cyrus the Great. Tomyris would be known forever after as “the killer of Cyrus”.

Joan of Arc is considered a heroine of France, as she was only 18 when she led the French army to victory over the English at Orléans and was canonized as a Roman Catholic saint.

Aethelflaed was an Anglo-Saxon queen and warrior in 9th and 10th century England, who fought to protect her land from Viking invasion.

Florine of Burgundy was a French crusader. A 14 years old warrior led fifteen hundred horsemen to the First Crusade.

Fu Hao Chinese general who led 3,000 men into battle during the Shang Dynasty.

Tomoe Gozen a samurai warrior who fought at battle of Awazu, beheaded at least one person, was fearsome enough to make samurai flee to maintain their honor.

Nakano Takeko was a Japanese female warrior of the Aizu Domain, who fought and died during the Boshin War.

Back of cards represents the main character of every card. We have to be sure about our main idea. We found this pattern by combining some feminine statics to remind us of the delicate beauty of women and the warrior aspect of these heroines.

The Joker cards are by far everyone’s favorite, so we wanted to design them with a charismatic approach. We really like the presence of a mask in most joker cards, so we chose showing the armor set as a sign of glory and honor. The jokers represent the armor sets of Club and Diamond suites. There will be 2 additional cards for the Hearts and Spades suites if the stretch goal will be unlocked, which you can read about in addons section.
