“My name is Ben Jones from EPC , creator of the Prism decks. My first deck of playing cards “ Prism: Night ” pushed the boundaries of playing card technology and aesthetic by adding a world-first shiny UV gloss layer to the face of the cards. Our next deck series: “ Pipmen ”, took the creative impulse a step further in a playfully fun work of art. Finally we are returning to conclude the Prism trilogy with Prism: Day and Prism: Dusk – the glossy conclusion to the incredible Prism series.

🪐 The Prism cards are a beautiful and colorful creation featuring UV gloss ink on the card faces. This is not a just shinier card stock; it is an extra layer of gloss printed on the cards to create a unique finish. This gloss is not the same as MPC use on their ‘impressions’ decks – it is true UV gloss that is neat, highly reflective and has a slight rainbow shine to it that really catches the eye.

🪐 In to some ancient cultures, the new day starts at sundown. You have already seen the birth of this project with Prism: Night , but that darkness always gives way to the brightness of Day :

🪐 The Prism: Day deck comes packaged in a predominantly white tuckbox with intricate textured high gloss regions accentuating the exploding light of the sun. This is the same shiny smooth gloss ink as the card faces, so you can feel the patterned design under your fingers .

🪐 The card back is a true two-way rainbow explosion design completing the colorful deck. Just as surely as Day follows Night the world must shift back to the starry darkness. But before all light is lost, while there is still the warm glow of the evening sun on the horizon, there is Dusk :

🪐 The limited edition Prism: Dusk tuckbox will feature shiny and colorful prismatic paper which gives an incredible rainbow shine – the perfect centerpiece for the Prism trilogy! It’s hard to get across how incredible this prismatic paper is, so check out another deck which has used this paper stock on the box and see what it looks like in real life!

🪐 The Prism: Dusk card back is designed to capture the darkening tones of a clear sunset with the dying sun in the center, fading to deep blue and ultimately inky black scattered with stars. This full-bleed back is absolutely stunning !

🪐 The Prism: Dusk tuckbox will be made with shiny rainbow Prismatic tuck paper. The image below gives an idea of ​​what this will look like, but this prototype is only silver – the final deck will have a full rainbow shine !

🪐 All the cards in the Prism decks are fully custom . In the day deck, the suit markers (pips) on the front are rainbows shot through with bright sunlight which shines from the gloss. The Dusk deck features pips set in a dark evening sky filled with rainbow stars

🪐 The court cards also match the glossy themes and are custom to the Prism trilogy. The Jokers are just as beautiful; radials of rainbow light refracting through a prism and converging to embody the essence of the deck!
