Bicycle for magicians released by Osmand Entertainment. That is the Bicycle OSMAND series. The hexagram and lion design is very stylish.
Overview
Osmund Entertainment is also famous for being affiliated with world-famous Japanese magician Takumi Takahashi . Starting with management of magicians, it is a company that is active in various fields such as management of magic dining bar and production of movies.
The Bicycle series released by Osmand Entertainment is OSMAND Playing Cards. At the magic dining bar “Magic Dining Bar OSMAND” run by the company, the magicians who perform are actually using cards from this series.
You can see that the magician Takumi Takahashi also uses this series of decks in his performances.
Today, we would like to introduce the latest product of the OSMAND series, “Platinum Edition 2021”, which has just been released.
A deck case with an eye-catching metallic package. In the center, the OSMAND mark, “Winged Lion” and “Hexagram” are printed. Next to it is the word “AIR CUSHION FINISH”, which is familiar with Bicycles.
The back design of the card is printed on the back. Multicolor ink such as silver, gold, and purple is used instead of the common single color. Gorgeous, isn’t it?
The closure seal is also designed with an original design.
There are 52 basic cards and 2 duplicate Jokers. What is printed on this Joker is Mr. Tr1ckster LEO (Trickster Rio), a magician and organizer of OSMAND. This Joker has a top and bottom in terms of design, but only the letters “Joker” have a symmetrical design that can be seen even if it is turned upside down.
There is also a blank card and a double back card. It has a configuration that is conscious of using it for magic.
The picture card has the same design as a normal Bicycle, but the color scheme is different. The yellow part has been changed to gold and the blue part to purple. The unification with the back design is planned, isn’t it?
The back design is symmetrically arranged with OSMAND’s hexagram and winged lion. If you look closely, you can see a bicycle wheel drawn in the center for the same purpose as the Rider Back. The so-called white frame part is thicker than a normal Bicycle. Even if you use a technique like flipping a card in magic, it’s a consideration that you can’t tell just by slightly misaligned.
It glides very smoothly. It was easy to spread smoothly, and I felt that the fans were very easy to do.
Apparently, this deck seems to have drawn a winning lot from USPC, and the quality of the cut was very high. (Somehow, it was manufactured on a line that had just replaced the cutting blade.)
Even when I touched it immediately after opening it, it was very smooth and I didn’t feel any catching. By the way, this deck uses Bee stock, which is famous for casino cards.
The thickness of the card is the same as Bicycle. For people who usually use Bicycle, I think that they can use it as it is.
Also, isn’t it a must-have item for those who want to use the same playing cards as Takumi Takahashi?
About 15 years ago, magician Tomohiro Maeda created a whirlwind of card magic in Japan. If you are reading this site, I’m sure there are many people who know Mr. Maeda.
